4 months agoMagnolia Playground at New Orleans City Park is a well-designed, modern play area with a strong focus on climbing and developmental activities for kids. The equipment is thoughtfully designed, blending a natural, nature-inspired theme with modern play structures like rope walls, monkey bars, and balance beams. There’s even an interactive app that features fun cartoon characters throughout the playground, adding an engaging digital element. The park is clean, well-maintained, and offers excellent shade from surrounding trees, making it comfortable even on sunny days. The grassy areas are well-kept, leaving plenty of room for free play and picnics. We also appreciated the nearby walking path to LaBorde Lookout, which adds a fun adventure for families exploring the park. Parking is free but unpaved and not clearly marked. Many visitors biked to the park, though we noticed there were no bike racks, so bikes were locked to the nearby fence along the river. We also enjoyed the cool river bridge near the parking area, offering scenic views. Overall, Magnolia Playground is a fantastic spot for families looking for an active, outdoor play experience. It’s great for climbers and explorers, with plenty of room to run and play. We highly recommend visiting, and with several other playgrounds nearby, there’s always something new to discover in City Park.

5 years agoGoo quick stomp that myself and my 4 year old enjoy stomping. Located just off marconi boulevard and harrison ave right here in new orleans Louisiana we go quite frequently. Plus it's on our ride home frkm the day care so it's super convenient. It's nice cause the swamp is right there as well. Watch out for alligators!
