We had such an amazing time. Our tour guide, Simone, was very knowledgeable. The entire staff made you feel right at home. The animals all seem so loved and cared for. Swimming with an otter rocks and I’d recommend to anyone. 15/10 would return.

Magnolia wilds is definitely worth the trip. The staff were all awesome and kind. A very hands on experience with the animals in most exhibits which you don’t normally get. The facility tour is pretty well done. Our guide was knowledgeable on the animals and was quick to answer questions asked. During the whole trip, everyone got to carry a Joey in a pouch! So cool! If you pay for the otter swim, you won’t be disappointed. Them dudes will climb all over you and play like you’re one of their siblings! It was so much fun! If I lived in the area, I would FREQUENTLY visit.

This was such a fun experience and something that I would recommend to others. Tickets to swim with the otters seem pricey, but the money goes to running the facility and feeding the animals. Though the otters were not feeling the swim at the moment, the staff allowed us to swim with the otters before they ate, normally the other way around, to ensure we were able to get our swim in since there was a rainstorm on the way. The otters were more concerned with eating than swimming, but the staff did a good job to try to keep them engaged and interested in the water. Touring the facility, we were pleasantly surprised to interact with more animals than we thought we would. One of our favorite along our tour were the birds. They weren’t interested in us when we were at the enclosure, their personalities came through just as we walked off. You began to hear sounds of trucks beeping as they back up and cell phones ringing. We were informed by the staff that this was something the birds had learned and loved to do. Definitely a place to return to and enjoy multiple times. Highly recommend.

pros: our tour guide D was so cool and knowledgeable and you could tell he really cares a lot and enjoys his job (it felt like i was meeting a celebrity after all of the great reviews i saw beforehand) we are obsessed with him cons: we had to wait 15 minutes after start time (over 30 in total because they recommend coming 15 min before your tour) for a mother with two young kids who showed up late and refused to keep track of the rowdy kids while they put their hands in cages and tried to chase down animals, walked ahead of the group so slowly with a huge stroller, and continually interrupted the tour guide (sometimes related sometimes not). still a good time but that most certainly tainted the experience - of course not at the fault of anyone working !
