Main Event Tempe

This is a reallycool place. There is so much to do here. It’s like a mall of fun. There’s a huge arcade, Bowling, billiards, shuffleboard and a great pizza place. They had a special this week for spring break $15 all the activities you can do until noon which comes with a $10 arcade card.

I hadn’t been to Main Event in years, but today I went on a bowling date and paid for two hours, which was enough for 6.5 games with two people. The game stops as soon as your time runs out, even if you're in the middle of a round, and some employees offer drinks or food while you play. Bowling was really fun, though it was busy since it was a Saturday, and while I only bowled this time, I love that they have the coin pusher game I’ve spent way too much money on it before!

Came with my kids, and we had a great time! The bowling was great. They enjoyed lazer tag, and they had a blast at the arcade. We are a family of 4, and I spent about $200, not including food. There were a lot of people, but we did not wait long for bowling or lazer tag. The staff was extremely helpful and really nice. They had great attitudes and smiles on their faces. They helped make our night memorable. We came back the next day for the arcade, and it was a blast. I put three stars for the food as a neutral. We ate before we got there, so we just purchased drinks. I do not have a review for the food.

The overall experience was just horrible. The customer service would be bad if they had any. We repeatedly had to ask for help. All the employees were just hanging out in the back of the kitchen on their phones and completely ignoring us and other tables. We ordered the sliders and More. The burgers were ok, but they were a but burnt. The chicken sliders were completely frozen on the outside, and the bread was cold as well. The sliders seemed to have just been warmed um really quickly and then served. The fried pickles were actually pretty good. This was our first and LAST time going to main event. My arm was hurt by a nail on the barrel in the laser tag area. There are two barrels that should be stacked together, but unfortunately the upper barrel was not properly stacked and the nails in between the barrels are right toward me. When I was playing and squatting down, the nail pierce my left arm. My friends and I immediately talked to the staff and manager later. We checked the site with the staff and the staff agree it’s their fault not searching the site before the start of the game. We asked for the first aid set but unfortunately the only thing we get initially is a small piece of antiseptic towelette from the manager. We expressed we need a full set of first aid, and get the full set of first aid until we insisted our need of a complete first aid treatment. We are shocked and unsatisfied by what’s provided initially by the manger (John). This place needs to improve its safety inspection and treatment toward customers getting hurt within the facility including showing a positive and emphatic attitude. We also experienced a shut down of the bowling line 8 when we are playing. We called for staff to fix and it takes around 15 minutes to fix. We have been here couple times before and they all went smooth and we had a good time, but not this time. In addition, it’s sad that they don’t provide a safe place for customers to play today. Just watch out yourself, your family and your friends come with you to this place.
