If you are visiting Durham, Major is a must stop for a good photo opportunity. Lots of history and Major is the mascot of the town... You know The Durham Bulls and all. Lots of detail in the statue even down the extreme size of his manhood.

I was born and raised in Durham and to see people flock to look at a bronze bulll intrigues me, but I love the shops that are here in downtown Durham now, Durham is now the best that's ever been it's so much better the ice cream shop is absolutely incredible delicious ice cream.
