a week agoIf you're an adult or with a group of adults this place is NOT for you. If you have younger maybe even up to pre-teen children this is an absolutely excellent and extremely interactive museum for them. I think staff should make clear the age group the facility is geared towards before charging an obviously solo adult $35 for admittance. Being from out of state I was not aware. I only took 1 star because they are doing great things here and it was amazing to see so many children happily learning in play.

3 months agoThe front desk girls that worked yesterday at Maryland Science Center who were sitting on there phones when we walked in at 12:30 and as my first time going there I was not greeted by them when I walked up to the desk had to say something to get the girls attention. I asked what I needed to do and she look at me and said fill out that paper then went back to looking at her phone. So the place could definitely use some better customer service at the front… other than that the place was pretty cool.

5 months agoThe Maryland Science Center in Baltimore is a must-visit destination for families and science enthusiasts. Located on the beautiful Inner Harbor, it offers interactive exhibits, an IMAX theater, and a planetarium that make learning fun and engaging for all ages. Key highlights include Newton’s Alley, where you can experiment with physics concepts, and Dinosaur Mysteries, featuring life-sized skeletons and fossil digs. Kids will love the Kids Room, designed for children under 8, with water tables and science-themed activities. The Davis Planetarium offers captivating shows about space and the stars, while the IMAX theater immerses you in stunning science and nature documentaries. The center also hosts special events like STEM Nights and Live Science Demonstrations, adding to the excitement. Dining is convenient with the Elements Café, and there’s a well-stocked gift shop for educational souvenirs. While admission can be pricey, especially for larger families, the experience is worth the cost. Parking is available nearby, though it can be expensive. Plan for at least 3-4 hours to explore everything. Whether you’re a local or visiting Baltimore, the Maryland Science Center is a great spot for a fun, educational outing. Highly recommended for families and curious minds! 4.5/5.

7 months agoWas a nice center, it was clear that when it was newly built it was very nice and interactive. Overall a good day and worth it. But some of the exhibits were broken and some of the displays were a little run down. Not alot of space or options to eat inside. Could use some revamping and some more money or into it. But still overall a fun time and worth doing.
