a week agoWhat a beautiful place and wonderful way to spend a day. My husband grew up in the area, and he was so excited to share the experience with me. We were so pleased with the other people visiting who respected my husbands service dog. Well done. Happy memories!

2 months agoBeautiful estate. When I went in February 2025, the main mansion was under renovation, but the rest of the facility and the gardens were open. I recommend the Japanese garden. There are also bison nearby!!

5 months agoMaymont is a beautiful park with so many things to do any time of year. This fall I went to the Garden Glow event and it was incredible! The Japanese gardens were completely transformed and it was like walking into a whole different world. The park is fantastic all year round and it’s always good to keep an eye out for events they have throughout the year! The park has many features that are accessible to everyone. Some of the paths through some of the gardens have a lot of hills that may be challenging to those with mobility issues however most of the paths are accessible to all.

6 months agoAwesome park and recreation area of an old mansion, and it's vast forest grounds. Gardens, reflection pound with fish, waterfalls, trails, and picnic areas. Great place for pictures, walks, and exploring the past and present. The main house was under construction until 2025, but you can still get up close and see the renovation being done. Five stars.

5 months agoMany parts are neglected and not maintained. I went in November so it’s understandable that some parts are being worked on but a good amount of areas were closed/turned off. There were no signs so walking around was confusing especially since their website map wasn’t accurate. The fox was very sad to see. Many people online said this is a good place to stop by so I was expecting something a little better. At least it was free.
