3 weeks agoGreat shady place to walk and relax. Lots of benches along the Medina trail, great signage, strong cell service/signal. Awesome sign reminders of hazards like poison ivy and snake habitats.

2 months agoVentured into Medina River natural area today for some aquatic observations, where the water was calm, the birds were chatty, and nature put on a show. The highlight? A dazzling Green Jay that looked like it flew straight out of a painting—probably judging our data collection skills from the treetops. We also captured (on camera, not illegally) a fisherman reeling in a hefty Channel Catfish, proving that at least someone in the area was having success with their catches. As always, the wildlife refused to pose for my camera, but at least they graced us with their presence. 10/10, would absolutely return (with slightly lower expectations of cooperative bird models and a newfound respect for patient anglers).

2 months agoGreat midweek bike ride, only saw two others on the trails. I biked to the seven mile marker but will go all the way to the nine mile marker next time. Plenty of steep switchbacks to keep things interesting.

a year agoAn unexpected gem! This park was clean and quiet. With the river running through it, it’ll be a great addition to beat the heat come summertime. There are paved and dirt trails that are very easy to follow. Also seems to be an abundance of bikers in this area too

7 months agoNice paved trails next to Medina River this area could be better though in my opinion. No river access and only dirt trails in the area you have to pay to play. Donkey Lady Bridge sign is now gone so there's even less to look at.
