2 months agoIt's so amazing 🤩 I love it! I didn't enjoy it because it's still cold in winter, but it's a wonderful place! It's a place where everything in the forest feels beautiful! I'm thinking of having fun when it gets warm. I love it

a month agoWe've been bringing our children here for years, and now we bring the grandchildren. Its so peaceful and nobody cares about limited service. It gives us a chance to reconnect. We love the cabins-- so spacious and well-stocked. Views galore.

a year agoWe've been camping there for 5 nights. The place itself is beautiful. You camp in the middle of nature. The Rangers are very friendly. There is a nice hiking trail with different challenging loops accessible from it. The only downside I experienced was the restroom. Outdated, falling apart and in dire need of Restauration.

11 months agoWe made it out to the nature center twice. The nature center is a really nice and scenic area where you can fish and if it’s open you’ll be able to rent boats or visit the animals they have. We also played disc golf, and it was super nice. The park is huge so it takes a minute to get from point a to point b. I still haven’t seen everything there is there but I am hoping to go camping next time.

a year agoCheck-in was easy, there are a lot of hummingbird feeders on shepherd's hooks in front of the office so it is really nice to sit and watch them. No reception at the park, only spotty reception at times in our camper. I left my cell phone in our table and i would get some messages here and there but it was hard to tell where the reception sweet spot was. You can get reception at the visitor center and at the nature center. The park itself is big but the campground area is small and limited. It's near the Mississippi River so you can go fishing if you like that sort of thing. I don't remember but there are approximately about 20 spots or so. There is also Shelby Forest General Store, a quaint general store with a wonderful cook/owner. They have a good variety of items if you don't want to drive into Millington for any items.
