a week agoNice, peaceful to walk. Plenty of different trails to see nature. Visiting prior to things starting to green up and bloom. Plenty of benches if you need a break while walking. Dog friendly, but you must keep them leashed. Please bring a bag to pick up your pups waste. Not too crowded during the week.

3 weeks agoBeautiful park! Well maintained trails and it has the cutest little nature based playground I've ever seen, plus a lovely nature center. Beautiful ponds right by the parking lot and a mini tower so even kiddos who can't make the trek to the big tower can enjoy seeing the prairie form above.

7 months agoWe visited the Mequon Nature Preserve for the first time today. This is a very beautiful preserve with very well groomed trails. The weather was perfect, and the scenery was breathtaking! We climbed to the top of the observation tower, and the views were amazing! I highly recommend a visit to this preserve in Mequon, Wisconsin.

6 months agoThis is a wonderful, little nature preserve in Mequon, Wi. If I lived close by I would be a regular. My husband and I stopped off on our Wisconsin - Illinois drive to stretch our legs. We hiked to Paul’s pond, the observation deck, Christine’s painted pond and around back to the Stretch family wetlands. I so appreciate when a town shares its countryside like this. Kudos to the people who made it possible and those who continue their good work. The gentleman at the front desk from New Jersey made it all the more interesting. I really enjoyed the center itself especially the insect/butterfly/moth wall.

7 months agoOne of my favorite places to bring the kids for nature play and educational programming. Before they were in school, we loved the third Tuesday of the month storytime nature, walk, and craft We also learned how to tap trees for maple syrup . They have great events near Halloween and in the winter as well. Stop inside to check out their terrarium and check out an explorer backpack with nets, jars, clipboard, etc. My sons’ favorite thing is to go to the pond and try to catch frogs, snails, and damsel fly larvae.
