2 weeks agoThe sculpture garden is a great spot for a wander on a sunny day. With over 60 sculptures there's plenty to see and it's fun to check out the art from a variety of vantage points. There are benches and seats if you need a rest and best of all it's free. I'm

2 weeks agoThe Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a true gem in the heart of the city. Blending art, nature, and community, it offers a refreshing experience for both locals and visitors. The space is expansive, well-maintained, and completely free to explore, making it one of the most accessible cultural attractions in the area. Of course, the highlight is the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture, which remains just as whimsical and impressive in person as it is in photos. But the garden offers much more than that — with over 40 works of modern and contemporary art scattered throughout, each visit brings new discoveries. The layout encourages wandering, contemplation, and photo ops, while the nearby Walker Art Center adds even more artistic depth to the experience. The garden changes beautifully with the seasons. In spring and summer, it’s lush and full of life; in winter, the sculptures take on a stark, striking presence against the snow. It’s also family-friendly, and the green space invites picnics, strolls, and relaxed afternoons. Whether you’re an art lover, a tourist, or just looking for a peaceful place to unwind, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is definitely worth a visit. It’s a perfect intersection of creativity, urban space, and natural beauty.

2 months agoIt's hard to find a better one two punch than going to the Walker Art Center and then heading out into the Sculpture Garden for a walk around. The Spoonbridge and Cherry are known worldwide and here you get a chance to see it up close and personal. If you're lucky, one of the cool chairs right by it will be open and you can take a load off for a few minutes and just sit back and relax, as long as the geese will let you :) Be sure to walk all around the park. The quiet corners are some of the coolest spots.
