2 weeks agoI think this museum is beautiful, I do think that it is smaller than I expected it, but that’s not a negative. I was just surprised that there was not more to it, but that makes sense when you factor in that it’s in a historical park that includes other museums in a zoo that you can go to to add to your own Experience. They’re 1904 world’s fair exhibit was really cool. I really enjoyed the model they made of the fair with the projection and the audible storytelling that was available, I do think they should’ve had a section on the human zoo to bring to light the Controversial exhibit that existed at the 19 oh fair world, fair, it was even controversial for its time. I did think their kids area was really well done when it comes to being interactive and not overstimulating with tons of words everywhere where kids will get bored quickly, but instead they’re engaged with what they’re looking at and the things that they’re able to do and I think that would be my biggest highlight of the museum

2 months agoThis was a perfect place to go on a rainy day and my family mainly explored the kid's clubhouse area. I was pleasantly surprised to see all of the kid friendly exhibits the museum offered. Another plus is the museum and parking are free! There are plenty of different activities for kids and my almost 2 year old had a blast! He especially enjoyed the steamboat exhibit and Cafe play area. I hope to return soon to explore the rest of the museum!

3 months agoWe had a blast exploring the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis! The staff was super friendly and greeted us warmly, even handing us a paper map—which I preferred over using my phone. My kids absolutely loved the History Clubhouse, a hands-on area designed just for them. They had a great time with interactive activities, including building their own arch—a fun nod to St. Louis’s iconic Gateway Arch. The museum offers a variety of exhibits that delve into the city’s rich history, from the 1904 World’s Fair to the musical legacy of St. Louis. Plus, admission is free, making it an affordable and educational outing for families. If you’re in St. Louis, the Missouri History Museum is definitely worth a visit!

3 months agoGreat space/venue that feels historic and obviously displays a lot of history. Being the Missouri History Museum, it obviously favors history of the state a lot. Especially the 1904 World's Fair. Their two mainstays are a section with history before the fair and then after. Best part about it all is that it's totally free. The kids area is pretty large and can likely keep most kids occupied for an hour or two. We happened to come on a morning where they also had a kids holidays event with other activities and a band playing in their auditorium. Highly recommend a visit for all ages.

a month agoWe had a great time in the Clubhouse! All 3 of my kids were engaged and we stayed about 2hours easily and they would’ve stayed longer. I’m so grateful to have found this little free space for learning and playing
