3 months agoThe park entrance is well marked and easy to find, with about 10 gravel parking spaces available. A majority of the preserve is located under what appear to be high-tension power lines. South Fork Peachtree Creek runs through the preserve and can be accessed in multiple locations along the trails. Upon entering, there is an immediate incline followed by 20 or so steps down, broken with landings. The preserve features a wooden bridge over the creek. However, I found the trails to be not well maintained nor marked. Several wooden structures were in need of repair, including steps and step boards on the creek bridge. Roots pose somewhat of a trip hazard, so care should be taken while hiking. The creek has some pollution that distracts from its attractive sandy shores and meandering path. Overall, the preserve could be improved with some maintenance, better trail markings, and regular trash collection along the creek.

a year agoThis is a great little oasis in the city of Atlanta. If you are nearby I definitely recommend. It's about a two mile walk from one end to the other with plenty of things to see along the way. I really enjoyed the views and different ecosystems. Great place for a lunch or a quick escape if you live nearby. Parking looks like it could be an issue depending on when you come very limited. See video.

9 months agoNice to place close to the city to get a good walk in. A little hilly with stairs. Good place to let your dog play in the creek that goes through the middle. Do have to walk 1/4 mile to get to the creek. Feels remote.

2 years agoI've been going here for about 6 years now. I would definitely say that it's a hidden gem worth visiting. It is pet friendly. You may spot a deer. There's a beautiful creek, boardwalk and sometimea berries. There is often dogs not on leashes. Due to gentrification more people are visiting this area. Unfortunately, caucasians there seem uncomfortable or off put by seeing other black people there. I pay them no attention and just enjoy the vibe ✌🏾💓
