Sunny
3 years agoOne of my favorite things I did on my trip to Seattle! We went on a sunny Saturday and rented a double kayak for $26/hour, life jackets and water baggies included. No line—we were out on the water in about 5 minutes. We managed to kayak all the way to Gasworks and back within one hour (as two young, reasonably fit people). BEAUTIFUL view of the skyline and bridges. I would absolutely come back again.

3 years agoTried the single person kayak and had a great experience! They have bathrooms and dry areas to keep shoes and other goods that you might want to not take with you too. The prices are on par with other rental options in the SLU area with the added benefits of a bar just next to the launch area!

2 years agoFast and friendly service! Our helper explained the rules to us very patiently. A very hassle free experience. We got 3 double kayaks. They were all of good quality and felt sturdy. They also provide life jackets and water protective bags for your belongings.

6 years agoI’ve kayaked on Lake Union a few times now. Compared to other rental shops, Moss Bay exceeded expectations. The customer service was great—staffed full of friendly faces. Located on the south end of Lake Union, it was the perfect place to capture the skyline of downtown Seattle, the Space Needle, and Gas Works (all in an hour). Other Pros: Beginner friendly, which was good because I was with Mom (an inexperience kayaker). They provided a large waterproof bag for personal belongings. The price was cheaper: $24/hour for a double ($12/person if split). Fees are prorated 1/4 an hour after the first hour. Cons: Expensive paid parking—$9.81 for 2 hours.
