6 months agoEach month my friends and I pick a new spot to hike/walk in the city & this one was fantastic. I love when you’re in the city but it doesn’t look or feel like it because of the lack of cars & noise. The scenery was green and fresh with some nice scents of eucalyptus. The views from the top are sensational. A great spot to picnic if you carry up your food in a backpack. The cross seems larger than life when you get close to it. Be sure to read the history of this park.

a year agoI had a great hike there the place is so beautiful and had great view. I’m glad I found someone who know the road to help me find the top of the hill. I wish they will put some sign so people knew where to go, but I guess the city don’t do anything about it because they don’t charge people , but it really is a simple thing to do. In general go there and enjoy the hike. It’s a beautiful place.

8 years agoThere are several different trailheads to Mount Davidson. The trails on the north (like this one) are narrower, steeper, and sometimes more muddy, but they do give you a more wilderness experience. Views from the top of the hill are spectacular, perhaps even better than the much more crowded (and lower elevation) Twin Peaks.

6 months agoIt is the highest point in San Francisco at 928 feet, south of Twin Peaks and the center of San Francisco. Many movies have been filmed here over the years and soon it becomes a city park.

7 months agoGreat views, a big cross at the top, moderate climb in elevation elevation. Yes, I said it twice because what goes up must come down. Enjoy
