a week agoI was looking to run several flat miles and this place delivered. It’s certainly a popular place. I would actually take my family here since there is an awesome playground area. Yes, this park is ideal for dogs too. Each loop I did was a mile and it was wide enough to pass people with ease. Go check it out!

2 weeks agoMount Trashmore Park is hands-down one of the coolest spots in Virginia Beach! The new downhill playground is an absolute hit — my kids couldn’t get enough of the hillside slides and climbing nets. It’s such a fun and creative use of the landscape, and it really adds a fresh layer of excitement to the park. What’s also great is how the park brings together all kinds of enthusiasts. On any given day, you’ll see skateboarders ripping it up at the skate park (the vert ramp is legit), RC car drivers racing around the open areas, and even drone flyers taking advantage of the wide open sky. It’s like a mini festival of hobbies every weekend. Beyond the action, there’s plenty of space to chill, walk, or picnic. The park’s transformation from a landfill into a vibrant, community-driven space is impressive — and it really shows in how well-loved and well-used it is. Highly recommend for families, hobbyists, or anyone looking to enjoy a little outdoor fun with a view.

2 weeks agoMy husband and I went here during the early Spring where the hill grasses were still dry but we could see people playing kites, having picnics, exercising, which was life of the place. Two of the best thing you'll get is many parking space (free) and feeling refreshed after spending time at the park!

5 months agoGood place for an evening stroll and for the kids to play or fly kites. A full round around the park takes approximately 1.5 miles. Great spot to enjoy the sunset

7 months agoDespite how the name sounds, this is a great park and place to go for a walk/run! There is a paved way for walking and wheelchair friendly. If you want to walk the steps to the top, a beautiful view awaits you! Unfortunately I don't think the hill is wheelchair accessible, but you can still get nice views around the lake regardless. Definitely come check this out if you love to get out and exercise!
