🛡️Safety Policy
- • Climbing is inherently dangerous; participants and observers assume risks and must sign a participant agreement (parent/guardian signature required for under 18).
- • All climbers and observers must check-in at the front desk before entering the gym.
- • Double-check partner’s safety system (knots/harness/carabiners/belay device) before every climb. Staff reserve the right to check safety systems at any time.
- • Individuals must be at least 13 years old to top rope belay, lead belay, or lead climb and must pass the corresponding Belay Check. Proper credentials must be displayed via provided harness tag. A minimum 24-hour wait is required before re-taking a failed Belay Check. Limited age exceptions for climbing team members.
- • Individuals who have passed the Lead Climb Check may borrow a lead rope from the front desk or use a personal UIAA approved rope at least 40 meters in length.
- • Staff reserve the right to revoke belay privileges at any time.
- • Weight differences between the climber and the belayer can greatly impact the safety of both individuals.
- • All persons using the facility are expected to respect other individuals and conduct themselves in good order. Persons deemed by staff to be behaving in an unsafe or disorderly fashion will be asked to leave the facility.
- • Climbers under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult (18 years or older) or by a staff member. Youth under 13 are not permitted in fitness areas (limited exceptions for climbing team members). Parents/caregivers are responsible for their children's supervision.
- • Legal guardians must present proof of guardianship to sign a child’s participant agreement. If the parent or guardian will not be present, a photocopy of their government-issued photo ID is required for signature verification.
- • Climbers under the age of 13 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult (18 years or older) at all times while in the climbing areas.
- • Lead climbing assumption of risk form must be completed prior to taking the Lead Climb/Belay Check, or if enrolling in an Intro to Sport Lead Climbing class. For minors under 18, this form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
- • A bouldering orientation video is required for new boulderers.
📅Booking Policy
- • An online participant agreement is required for anyone entering the gym and can be completed in advance to speed up check-in. Email verification is required.
- • To book a party, a dedicated link is provided on the website.
- • Classes can be booked online, with a promo code available for a first free class.
- • Membership sign-up requires a photo ID and form of payment at the front desk (cash not accepted at Chicago gyms, implies other locations may accept cash).
- • Monthly memberships involve a prorated amount at sign-up and are billed by calendar month thereafter, requiring a credit card or checking account.

7 months agoGreat location for indoor climbing — bouldering and top rope. No prior experience needed to come in and start. We started by taking their single day pass (and equipment rental) a few times, and liked it enough to take the monthly membership and come regularly. We like their free classes from time to time, and they also regularly change the climbing walls… so always new challenges.

2 years agoGym is really large with 2 boulder areas. The top rope and lead sections have great diversity in grades and a good variety for lead climbers which was exciting! There were some really tall walls and some shorter walls, so it was good for all people. The actual gym area was one of the largest I've seen at any climbing gym and really well equipped. The things I'm not a fan of are more so issues that I have with all movement gyms- there are GrirGris attached to all the top ropes, not all of them are smooth for belaying. Also you have to schedule a lead test way in advance, so if you're just visiting occasionally it's hard to be able to lead. This gym has a few area in ropes and the front boulder pit where there was a lack of lighting and it was really dark midday. Otherwise great experience first time!

11 months agoThis is one of the largest climbing gyms in the bay area, so it has one of the largest variety of climbing routes and bouldering projects. They usually have a pretty good variety of grades as well. All the Movement gyms have the older style wall texture (before Walltopia became ubiquitous) which I actually prefer bc it looks and feels slightly more like real rock - especially on the crack climbs. This Sunnyvale gym also has a pretty good variety of crack routes. The fitness area is probably the largest I have seen in any climbing gym with a huge variety of equipment. During peak hours this place can get quite busy, so it's best to go on weekday mornings if possible.

4 months agoIncredibly friendly and helpful staff, some super sick routes and great workout equipment. It’s just way too crowded:( I was constantly waiting my turn to get on the wall and then once I was up there someone would climb a problem right next to me lacking any regard to my presence. There were children running around without supervision and overall the atmosphere was loud and disruptive. I definitely prefer a more peaceful bouldering environment so unfortunately won’t be going back.

2 years agoA very well equipped climbing gym in the Sunnyvale area. Their top rope section is much larger actually has a great distribution of grades. Their rope climbing grades are extremely lenient: for ex. A 5.10c here is most likely a 5.9 in other gyms Surprisingly, their workout area is also pretty big. Getting a membership here is going to fulfill most of your fitness needs. Avoid peak hours if possible as it gets crowded and you ll have to wait in line for getting on the wall
