a week agoIt is one of the best parks in Portland. Essential Portland landmark. There is so much to do, from hiking to playgrounds to sitting and enjoying the view of the sunset shining over the resovoirs. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. There are plenty of nice grassy spots to loumge on a sunny day. Some hills. But nothing too intense. The stairs are a good workout. Everything about this park is awesome. It's actually one ancient volcananic vent. The views of downtown Portland are so good! Definitely recommend if you are visiting Portland at all. Super classic.

5 months agoOh, how I love Mt. Tabor! There's something for everybody. Bike riding, kids play area, lovers stroll, dog park, huge staircase, 3 reserviors, picnic areas for parties, amphitheater, tennis courts, basketball courts, and hiking trails galore! On Wednesdays, the gates are closed to cars, but the park is still open. Great place to watch the sunset over downtown Portland or fireworks on the 4th of July. Restrooms by the kids play area and at the top of the stairs.

2 months agoBeautiful park in Portland. It has a couple of trails, nice (and free) views of the city, and history with its water reservoirs. Definitely a hidden gem to disconnect from the busy city 🏙️❤️

in the last weekThe off-leash area for dogs is really great. Nice, easy terrain for both human and dog. There are also water bowls and water spout for them.
