Nashville Kayak Lessons

New to kayaking, I booked a 3 hour lesson for my husband and I. It was important to me to have someone certified teach us the right way from the beginning. Leslie Dunn definitely knows her ‘stuff’. Communication was always easy. Leslie teaches from her private property, which has lake access and a private cove. We got great value out of our lesson which included information on gear, safety, group paddling rules and of course actual training on the water. Leslie was awesome. She is super patient, very down to earth and has a great teacher personality. We were able to try different kayak makes and models and got fantastic pre-purchase advice so we wouldn’t spend hundreds of dollars on buying the wrong gear. That alone was worth the money. We got great value out of the course which felt like a vacation day out in the country. I would absolutely recommend Leslie to anyone looking to learn or advance their skill set- great way to learn a new sport!

Fantastic kayak lesson with Leslie! She covers all the essentials and basic skills needed to be out on the water and stay safe, the best type of gear for kayaking and the best rivers for beginners. I highly recommend taking this class if you want to be more confident on the water! Thank you!!

Leslie was a wonderful instructor. She was very meticulous and went through all the dos and don’t when it came to having a safe and fun kayaking experience, especially for first timers like me. She also shared some very helpful information regarding the right gear to use and how to select a proper kayak depending on each individual’s needs. Overall it was a great experience!

Leslie gave a great kayak lesson! We really enjoyed the whole lesson and left feeling more confident on a kayak and excited to get out on the water again. We look forward to joining in on one of her group trips soon. Her pups were also such a joy and really added to the experience. Highly recommend!
