Experience with NYS not so great. For Elite team you pay almost $200 dollar to enroll which only includes games, & team shirt jersey.(Shorts are not included) Trophy for kids have to be purchased separate ($12) also they don’t provide the team with a place to practice. Us parents have to find a facility and still split the cost for our kiddos to be able to practice which has ranged another 50-80 bucks per week. Coach is parent volunteer they do not get paid. $200 dollars for one kid is ridiculous just for registration and team shirt. NYS is very disorganized as a league you guys should be providing a court for the kids to be able to practice without parents still have to pay out of pocket weekly for practice.

Stay away from this league if you want to start your child on the right foot. It's nothing but headaches for parents and very unorganized. Plenty of other soccer programs that are available for your child to thrive and learn to play a new sport.

Wow what a waste of my money! He never had adequate coach’s or practice place he lied to me said he was playing at the boys and girls club to then say there’s no coach. He then started to say that he doesn’t do refunds and he can issue a credit because he still isn’t even sure for next season if he’ll r able to play. The organization ran by BRAIN SHEIBELS is very unprofessional and stole $115 from me

This league is a joke…. I payed $120 per child last year… total of $240 for like 8 games and a cheap jerseys. They don’t even distribute trophies! Where does all this $ go when everyone is volunteering.Hmmm… I did AYSO when I was a kid, way better than this crap!

We played with NYS a few years ago. I should have left my review then. We did not have a great experience. We played soccer and it was fun only because the coaches were awesome. They refused to coach for NYS again the next season. We should have taken that as a sign. We decided to try basketball. My kids previously played at the YMCA where they have scheduled practice etc. Not so for NYS- you pay them the fee and they don’t offer any practice options. You have to pay EXTRA to secure a place to practice and organize it yourself. They don’t tell you this ahead of time… there are better options. Bernal, YMCA, OVCN, even AYSO are all great for learning.
