3 weeks agoThis museum is a must visit for anyone in the Norfolk area. The museum portion has hands-on exhibits for almost everything nautical and amazing history lessons about the whole Chesapeake Bay area. This includes not only the navy, but the civilian shipping as well. It is pretty incredible The tour of the Battleship Wisconsin was a sobering look at how our Navy lived and fought at sea over 5 decades! The ship is an awe-inspiring monument to what it takes to protect our freedom and the sacrifices our armed forces make every day. A salute and thank you to you all.

5 months agoNice clean place. The second and third floors had a lot of inactive stuff that both kids and adults could experience. I'm not sure what % of the boat is open to explore, but it was enough to get lost a few times trying to find a friend.

4 months agoWent there for Winterfest but have been before during the day. The exhibits in the main building are interesting for all ages and the ship never fails to amaze in the dark or the light. If anyone has any balance issues, going down inside the ship is probably not advisable, but walking on deck and talking with those who can answer questions and give more information on it makes the visit even more interesting. Also, love the gift shop inside the main building as well.

6 months agoAbsolutely loved our visit! It has changed a lot on the last few years. There are loads of interactive exhibits. The sailing on is fantastic! The kids had fun with riding the wind surfer and spinning with the wind! That whole room was very cool. I personally loved the interactive book. Where you place a book on the table and a story comes to life on the pages and around it. Love that most of the exhibits were in working order! Some museums locally have had exhibits that have been closed for years. Highly recommend visiting this museum ☺️

5 months ago(Christmas time review) SO FUN! The kids had a blast, I think I had more fun than they did 😂 so many lights, s’mores, drinks, Santa! 10/10 recommend. We actually are going back this weekend because we didn’t get to see it all with our cranky toddlers.
