♿Accessibility & Special Needs

- •Not mentioned in reviews. As an outdoor activity, it's likely personal drinks/snacks are permitted, but no official policy is stated.
🚗Parking Info
- •A parking lot is available, but reviews suggest that signage for both the parking area and the end of the tour could be improved (e.g., a simple flag to mark it).
👥Crowd Levels
- •Reviews suggest a small group experience (e.g., one solo kayaker with three couples in a van), promoting a peaceful, uncrowded, and personal journey rather than a large group tour.

7 months agoLoved our kayak trip down the Neuse River! Graham, the owner of the company, was very helpful with instructions and was a wealth of knowledge about local wildlife and the history behind the river's name. We saw deer, herons and an osprey nest. The kayaks were very nice and comfortable to ride in for our two hour trip. This was our second trip down the river with this company. We are already planning for third family river trip next spring!

6 months agoGreat option for a 90-minute kayak tour on the Neuse River. I think more signage (a simple flag would suffice), both in the parking lot and at the end of the river tour, would make the experience perfect. Friendly and punctual service. Highly recommended.

a year agoOmg! Couldn't have been happier today if I tried kayaking solo with Neuse River Outfitters! This was my first time kayaking, but it will not be my last! So, the staff was amazing! I checked in and then hopped in the van with three couples that were very nice. We went to the other side of Neuse River and got our kayaks and life vests. Since I was solo, I started first and, of course, got stuck. Our guide helped me out and continued to help all of us throughout our journey. The entire journey down the river was beautiful. I felt like I could take my time and take everything in. The beautiful green trees overhead, cool turtles, deer, and mix of murky and clear water were just amazing! It took me away from everything I had going on and I had fun as well. Every time I got stuck, like about four times, laughed and continued to push on. The guide was so encouraging and kind! Again I cannot wait to come back! Treat yourself to some relaxation and fun and go!

a year agoMy family kayaked on the Neuse River on the short trip. I loved Neuse River’s sit in kayaks. They drove us to the entry point and provided brief instructions. My children range from 2 to 26 years old. I brought my own life vest for my 2-year old. We were provided life vests. The water was low but the weather excellent. It was a peaceful and fun trip. We will definitely come back.
