3 years agoA hidden gem of JP! Tiny little park with nice views and some rock scrambling. There is also some rock climbing here which is rather limited, but in terms of convenience you can’t beat the location! One tip, watch out for bottles and used needles (wear shoes!) Climbers: as far as I can tell, there are two sport routes here — the main rock face (pretty difficult, IMO) and one nearby, facing West/the VA parking lot, near the trees (much easier). Not sure who, if anyone, maintains the anchors, so inspect them before use. Also, seconding what another said, that the rock face can stay damp after a rainfall, so plan accordingly.

a year agoQuiet wooded place overlooking urban setting. I often sit on ledge and just decompress.
