in the last weekAs a Raleigh wedding photographer, I photograph at the North Carolina Museum of Art often and it is absolutely stunning inside and out! The art galleries have beautiful pieces throughout the space which make for gorgeous backdrops for my photos. I have also photographed a wedding at the North Carolina Museum of Art, which was so unique and beautiful! The outdoor spaces are always so pretty to photograph at as well, with a very versatile background throughout their outdoor space.

a month agoToday was our first visit. We didn’t exactly know what to expect. I discovered that it gets very busy during the week of Art in Bloom in March. There were a lot of dressed up people. There’s still enough space for everyone in the park outside and the Museum building inside. The museum has a wonderful app with a map and audio recorded tours. I’d like to see them improve the map, so that it has information about where are the entrances to the museum buildings. It was confusing. We wondered a little. The play area in the East Building, level C is cool. It was fun for my kids and I to play there. My take away: check the Museum website before your visit.

3 months agoThe North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh is a fantastic place to visit! I had a great time exploring all the exhibits, and the best part—it’s free. Whether you’re into classic or modern art, there’s plenty to see and enjoy. The museum is easy to walk through, and everything is well-organized. I really liked how there was a mix of different types of art, and the outdoor sculptures were a nice touch. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great spot to visit with friends or family. Plus, the staff is friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be coming back to see more. If you're looking for a fun and free way to spend your day in Raleigh, the art museum is a perfect choice!

a month agoVisiting The Art in Bloom exhibit in March was such a brilliant experience. One that I shared with a friend who surprised me with an invitation. We spent over three hours wandering from one permanent artwork and corresponding floral interpretation to another. Surprising! Amazing! Beautiful!

5 months agoThe museum features ancient and modern art. The exhibits are spacious, clean, and well organized, but I think the pieces need a bit more description and background story of what we see. Most visitors are not exactly sure what are they looking at. One can easily browse the place within 2 or 2 and a half hours.
