2 weeks agoI recently visited this North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh and was completely blown away by the entire experience. The museum offers an enormous array of exhibits for all ages, so it is a wonderful place for families, students, and science enthusiasts everywhere. The highlight of my visit was the "Journey to Space" exhibition. This immersive exhibit provides a fascinating insight into the challenges and wonders of space exploration. From understanding how astronauts eat, sleep, and even go to the bathroom in space, to experiencing the sensation of floating aboard a full-scale, rotating mock-up of the Destiny Lab from the International Space Station, the exhibit is both educational and engaging One of the highlights of the event was the display of original artifacts from past missions, including Neil Armstrong's Apollo 11 helmet and gloves. These artifacts form a tangible connection to human achievement in space exploration. The exhibit also gives a glimpse of what the future holds for space exploration, including human missions to Mars. The museum workers were friendly and willing to explain, adding to the experience. The building is clean, organized, and provides interactive exhibits with a variety of topics that help one learn about science in a fun and interactive manner. I highly recommend a trip to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, especially the present "Journey to Space" exhibit, which will be on display until April 27, 2025. It is an inspiring experience that provokes curiosity and greater appreciation of the wonders of science and discovery. we can also find different types of minerals and bone structures of giants in the first floor. And more floors to explore Highly recommend a visit—especially if the mysteries of space fascinate you. You won’t be disappointed!

a month agoThe North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is an incredible place to explore and learn, making it a must-visit for all ages. The exhibits are fascinating, from towering dinosaur skeletons to hands-on interactive displays that bring science to life. One of the highlights is the live animal exhibits, where you can see creatures like reptiles, amphibians, and even an aquarium filled with marine life. The museum does a fantastic job of blending education with entertainment, keeping both kids and adults engaged. The layout is spacious and easy to navigate, with plenty of opportunities to discover something new around every corner. The research center adds an extra layer of excitement, allowing visitors to see real scientists at work. Plus, the best part it’s free! Whether you’re a science lover, history buff, or just looking for a fun and educational outing, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is a fantastic destination that never disappoints.

a month agoFirst of all, it's free!!! You should pay just for the 3D cinema and some special exhibits. And you can skip this. Great job by the staff to create this museum. Interesting for all ages, I think. Four floors of amazing information about nature. It was great to be able to see live animals as well. Lots of interactive elements. We spent around 2.5-3 hours looking at all of the exhibits. It has elevators, so it is accessible for all people. Clean restrooms are on each floor. On the fourth floor is a cafe.

2 months agoI had a fantastic time at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences! From start to finish, the experience was enjoyable and engaging. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions and guide visitors. Their enthusiasm for science really added to the experience. The museum itself has a great collection of exhibits, ranging from fascinating fossils and dinosaur skeletons to live animals and immersive nature displays. Everything was well-organized and educational without feeling overwhelming. One of the highlights for me was the Sea World 3D movie, which was absolutely awesome. The visuals were stunning, and it really brought the natural world to life in an exciting way. Overall, I’d highly recommend visiting. Whether you’re into science, nature, or just looking for something fun and educational to do, this museum is definitely worth it!

3 months agoWe went in the winter on a Saturday morning. Wasn’t busy at first until it got closer to noon and all the people come pouring in. The up keep for the free museum is top notch. I will say some areas are hard to maneuver with a stroller. Each floor has a well directed map. Was a bummer that the escalator from third floor to fourth was down and the outdoor walk way on the third floor to the other building was closed. A lot of the classes were not going on. Would have been nice to have someone in each area to answer questions or provided further explanations on exhibits. But like I said for a free museum, it is a wonderful place to go.
