North Carolina Zoo

What a great zoo. Be ready to spend the entire day exploring! Make preparations to do a lot of walking! There is a tram but it gets really crowded. The food options are expensive, so just budget for it! They have plenty of resting areas. And a really cute and fun Kid Zone we did not get to go there but we saw it in passing and plan to make sure we make it there the next time! We did the giraffe feeding and that was a fun experience. The staff was really knowledgeable and friendly. We got there when they first open and it literally took the entire day to fully enjoy all it offered. Will certainly be back again!! For tickets you can purchase online and you have a 30 day window to use them!

Such a great time, ticket prices are affordable - not too many people. Snack stations and good closed down kind of early which was surprising but nonetheless i really enjoyed it. Spent all 4 hours in Africa - going back to visit the other portion of the zoo! Would definitely recommend!

It was mine and my sons first time experiencing the Zoo and we couldn’t have had a better time! We had such a fun time walking around and exploring everything and my son definitely loved their awesome play areas for kids. The otter was so playful and funny and the elephants and giraffes were so beautiful and majestic! The vampire bat had to be our favorite! We can’t wait to come back again :)

Beautiful grounds. Some of the trails was close for construction. The giraffes, and Asia trail were closed. Only one polar bear and I thought the water was not cold enough. But what do I know. I love that the animals has room to really roam. The Baboons were awesome..first time seeing one. The food is way overpriced, which I'd crazy if you want to take your kids to the zoo you can't buy them a hot dog. The grounds was also well maintained.

Huge property! My family and I had a great time! Great variety of animals to see. May have been timing, but it was sad to see a few of the animals by themselves. Also, quite a bit of construction under way, but I'm sure it will be great when finished.
