10 months agoOakwell TrailHead Park is a gem! There's a convenient parking lot available. The fully paved, wide trail easily accommodates both bikers and hikers. Almost the entire trail is shaded by beautiful overhanging oak trees, making for a pleasant experience even on warmer days. I was lucky to see several deer eating and hanging out in the shade—check out my video to see how close they were! Overall, the trail is excellent, flat, and easy to hike. Highly recommended for a peaceful outdoor adventure!

3 weeks agoVisited some family and needed to log a long run in. The path is nice. Not really a trail as the path is concrete or a board walk. Water stations along the way!

3 years agoI love an early run here. Deep dive in nature, sorrounded by a thick forrest, along the Salado Creek with the great company of deer along the way. Peaceful and beautiful. Sadly trash sometimes builds up, let's try to keep it clean...

6 years agoI visit this place a lot and like it here. It's really nice and shady on the trails from all the big trees so it keeps it cooler during the day. They have an interesting statue that I liked here. Also have water fountains which is really nice. Be careful here at night though, I had a very strange and possibly paranormal encounter here while walking alone!
