a month agoUpdate to add: I spoke with the manager today. They have fixed the broken mesh. Adding a star back on for resolving the safety issue. This review is in regards to their bounce houses/birthday parties. I cannot comment on their youth sports. Our son was close lined in the neck by a hole in the mesh over a slide on one of the bounce houses. My initial feeling was that accidents happen, but the response was disheartening. I went to inform the manager of the hazard and my son’s injury. He acted surprised and stationed an employee near the hole to keep other kids safe. He promised to fix the hole the next day. This would have been a great response, but… Come to find out from a friend that she noticed the same hole over a year ago! She said it looked so unsafe even then that she wouldn’t let her son play on that section. This made the manager’s surprise and promise to fix it the next day seem disingenuous. The employee stationed by the hole moved on after about 10 minutes. No additional attempts by Off the Wall were made to keep the kids safe. The hazardous inflatable remained open for any kid to use. Another child at the party narrowly missed the same injury.

a month agoWe love the staff and have had great birthday party experiences there! We recently had a video game party for our 10 year old and it was a huge success! Our 6 year old loves the inflatables and we’ve also benefited from the little kickers program! Cannot recommend enough!

3 months agoSoccer, Sweat, and a Whole Lot of Fun: If you're looking for a place to get your soccer fix, sweat out last night's pizza, and maybe even cry a little (just me?) – Off the Wall Sports in Carmel is the spot! This winter, I joined their indoor soccer league, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride. I mean, who doesn't love running around like a lunatic, kicking a ball, and yelling at strangers (just kidding, we're all friends now)? Facility: 4.5/5 (would be 5 if they had a nap room) Off the Wall Sports has got the goods: nice turf fields, decent lighting (I didn't trip once!), and a concession stand with snacks to fuel your game (or your spectator self). Staff and Organization: 5/5 (shoutout to the refs for not yelling at me too much). The staff was on point, folks! From scheduling to refereeing, they kept everything running smoothly. I mean, I only got yelled at twice (just kidding, it was more like five times). League Experience: 4.5/5 (would be 5 if we'd won more games) The league was a blast! We had a great mix of competitive and recreational teams, and our games were always scheduled at reasonable times (i.e., not at 6 a.m. on a Sunday). Fun Factor: 5/5 (I'd give it more if I could) This is the most important part: I had an absolute blast! Off the Wall Sports has an electric atmosphere that's contagious. Even when we were getting creamed (which was often), I still had a smile on my face. Overall Rating: 4.5/5 (will definitely be back for more). If you're looking for a fun, slightly competitive, and totally sweat-inducing experience – Off the Wall Sports is the place to be! Tips for Future Players: 1. _Bring water (and a towel, and a change of clothes...). 2. _Don't be like me and trip over your own feet. 3. _Remember to have fun (and not take it too seriously – it's just soccer, folks!)

3 months agoMy 10 year old had a birthday party here. The first half of the party was supposed to be flag football (and I confirmed the week of), but after the kids were on the field, it turned out to be two-hand touch. It was fine, but I would have preferred flag football because one of the kiddos has a health condition and we were trying to minimize the potential for him to get hurt. I chose not to say anything because the kids had already been on the field for 10-15 minutes by the time I was done greeting parents and walked to the field. That being said, the kids had fun and no one got hurt. The second half of the party was pizza and cake in the party area. I had ordered HotBox pizza through Off The Wall Sports, and it was incredibly easy. The pizza was ready to go when the kids moved to the party area. Everything was good until the very end. I had incorrectly assumed that the party itself was one hour and forty-five minutes long, not that we had to be cleaned up and cleared out at the hour and forty-five minute mark. I, also, assumed we’d have time after the party to clean up and pack up. Nothing was communicated with me to indicate otherwise. Toward the hour and a half mark, a staff member who was not our party host had come by a couple of times and asked if we needed help with anything. Apparently, this was a passive cue to pack up. We were a bit past the end of our party and were packing up slowly (again, I assumed we’d have 10-15 minutes after the party to pack up) when our party host came over and yelled at the kids to get off the table and that another party was starting in a few minutes. They barely had time to grab their things. This should have been communicated with me, the parent, not the kids. Though I don’t think the kids cared, I did. It was super off-putting and could have been avoided with clear communication both when I scheduled and the day of the party. My son enjoyed his day, but my husband and I agree that we won’t be having a party here again.

4 months agoGreat staff. If you have problems, there are managers there to help. The facility is older, but they maintain it nicely, and utilize open spaces for kids camps, and soccer training. I am not even a 'soccer player' by nature, and I am welcomed there.
