a week agoOlbrich is a wonderful escape to the tropics (at least in the conservatory) whenever I want, right in Wisconsin. I love feeling the humidity in dry winters and smelling all the plants. Outside of special events like the Orchid exhibit during February, you can enter the conservatory for free between 10 and noon on Saturday and Wednesday mornings. Otherwise there is a fee. For the Orchid exhibit, I found it worthwhile to buy the membership which also gives me access during their other open hours. If you want to experience the tropics on short notice, I can't recommend it enough!

a week agoMy husband took me to Olbrich Botanical Gardens for a date, and it was honestly such a vibe. Super chill, beautiful paths everywhere, and the conservatory with all the tropical plants was really cool. We even stumbled on this awesome Thai Pavilion — felt like we were on a mini vacation. It’s crazy that a place this pretty is right in the middle of the city. We just wandered around, talked about everything and nothing, and completely forgot about the world for a bit. 10/10 date spot if you’re into relaxed and beautiful places.

3 weeks agoStunning, peaceful, and refreshing are some of the words I would use to describe this botanical garden. This place is perfect for families who want to go on a walk on a weekend. There’s so much to see. I really enjoyed the walking paths. The gardens are very well maintained. All the staff do a wonderful job of taking care of the plants and trees in their greenhouse too. It is well worth the drive out to Madison, Wisconsin.

2 weeks agoThis was my first botanical gardens ever and I loved it even more than I thought I would. The air in the inside garden is so pure and all the different, healthy plants are a sight to behold. Everyone who works on this place is a hero! I will definitely be back to the garden the next time I’m in Madison. 🌿🌱

2 months agoGreat way to spend 60-90 minutes inside on a cold winters day! Lots of orchids and other tropical plants. There are several fake animals for children to find and a few real birds. We would like to return on a warm day to walk the outdoor gardens. Cute gift shop.
