a month agoWhat a beautiful place. The parking lot is a little small. But there was plenty of parking available for when I was there. I went into the tropical room which is very humid and warm. You can go up and down the steps or you can walk around and around going up and down. There's a pond and stream and waterfall with Koi. I got to see a Quail run across the path. Some beautiful flowers and unique colors. The area is a little small though so not everyone can spend all day wandering around looking at stuff. I then went outside on the walking paths but it was the beginning of January and 40° outside so nothing is growing. There are some cool buildings to look at and benches to sit on. The different birch trees were neat. It can be hard to find the labels for some of the plants and flowers and trees. It's a great place to take photographs. Once everything outside is in bloom it would be a great place to paint or just sit and enjoy the scenery, read, etc. There is another room in the main building where they host events like the yearly Christmas train show.

2 months agoGreat small botanical gardens. The orchid show was great, a lot of varieties and close enough to really see the intricate flowers. It's nice and warm on a cold day, but doesn't take too long to make your way through. The grounds during the winter are a bit grey, but the Thai Pavillion makes the stroll worth it and really helps to brighten it up with the gold leafing.

7 months agoThis park is huge, and absolutely lovely. It is big enough that is didn't feel like there were a ton of people. The gardens are lovely to walk through. The gift shop was neat, I do wish the conservatory had been open. The gleam event was okay. It was neat to see it in the day first and then going at night. Some of the exhibits were really lovely. Very kid friendly.

4 months agoVisiting our daughter from out of state and we LOVED it here. Small enough to have a couple hours of entertainment, but gorgeous to a plant mama like me. The Christmas train exhibit was so fun and nostalgic, too.

2 months agoPerfect Zen experience. ESPECIALLY, when it's cold and no one wants to brave the windchill...🥶 But you know the secret - snow, silence, and snow-frozen J3llie-B3llies... The original mix with the sour mixed in... And no key card! Random joy?or Cinnamon-Butter Popcorn-Coconut? In the snow & cold... No one can hear you scream, or see you spit that combo out fast enough... 😱🤬😛🤣 And yes, it was fresh snow, and yes I ate it, and yes, it was as good as when I was a toddler... 🥰😇 You really should get back to those years and try it again... 😉✌️🤙🏼
