a week agoIf you are appreciate old world architecture and craftsmanship do not miss The Pabst Mansion. The tour takes about 1.5 hours and the docents are very knowledgeable providing tour goers an in depth view and perspective on life in the 19th century and the family that lived here. The Pabst Family of Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer fame owned this magnificent home. Many modern day amenities such as electricity and central heating were built into the project. It’s been mostly lovingly restored. I highly recommend a visit to get a glimpse into the wealth and lifestyle of the Beer Baron.

2 months agoWe loved the history of the mansion. We did a self guided tour due to time constraints but it was still worth it. They have guides on every floor to answer any questions you might have. I plan to return during Christmas but I am glad I was able to see it alluring a normal time.

2 months agoThe Pabst Mansion is truly something to see! Our tour was fun and definitely informative. We had a very funny and knowledgeable docent who took extra time to answer questions. This home was almost taken down at one point. It still stands in all its beauty thanks to people who cared about its historical significance to Milwaukee. Take the happy hour tour, you get a Pabst tall boy, very appropriate and it adds to the experience.

a month agoKen was an extremely knowledgeable & thorough tour guide. I greatly appreciated his attention to detail in explaining the history of the mansion & its occupants over the years. The craftsmanship & scale within the mansion is amazing. My only critique is, I would've enjoyed seeing the basement & attic. I'm assuming it may be restricted for specific reason - which I can respect. I highly recommend this tour & donating to their preservation fund for necessary mansion repairs.

a week agoThis tour, in addition to showing a 22,000 square foot mansion, provides lots of interesting history. I don’t think kids would generally enjoy this tour. Though I found it really interesting I can see how some people might be bored. If you like history, you’ll like this. If you think “it’s just a big, old house”, save your money.
