Paddle Canyon Lake

The owner is fantastic! He was accommodating, very friendly, and helpful! We had a fantastic time for our 1st time kayaking. Yes, lake levels are low, but there is plenty of water to have a great time and kayak,and paddle board. Lots of lake left to enjoy. Thanks again! We will definitely be back!

Is beautiful like always, but you can’t swim is to muddy, and is dry

Had such a great time on the kayak, paddle board & floating island! Made our experience at Comal Park more memorable. The family who owns/runs this is very kind & informative. They set it all up and take great care of you. You should also know they sell water shoes, bags of ice, chips, water, gatorade & and few other things. Super convenient & reasonably priced. The floating island is anchored by bags and was a favorite for our 6 kids. It holds up to 1,000 pounds & comfortably fit all kids.

When we arrived for our prepaid rental for 2 hours, I was very disappointed to find that the rental boards did not have a center fin mounted which is necessary for paddling on lakes. We were told that too many people abuse and break the fins. I was also puzzled that a commercial operation would have only inflatable boards, which I would think would cost more in the long run with all the maintenance headaches and such. Anyway, I was skeptical, but my wife and I went out anyway and sure enough the boards were very awkward and hard to keep goin straight. Not a nice experience at all! So after about an hour and 10 minutes we decided that we weren't having enough fun to stay, we brought the boards back and asked for a refund for the remainder of the 2 hours. The young fellow called the owner/manager and we were promised a partial refund to our credit card that we never received and this is the main reason for the bad review. I probably would've left the other stuff slide, but to promise a refund and not follow through? That is very poor business in my opinion! I just want to thank the owner of this business for a quick response to this review and for making things right! Changing this from 1 star to 5 stars.

Had a great time, the girls at the stand were so sweet. Definitely returning
