a month agoThe Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is a paradise for car enthusiasts! The sleek, modern design of the building itself sets the tone, and the exhibits inside are just as impressive. From vintage classics to cutting-edge concept cars, there’s something for everyone. The "Vault" tour, showcasing rare and iconic vehicles, is a must if you’re a serious car fan. There’s a small café for a quick bite, and the staff is knowledgeable and welcoming. Perfect for families, car lovers, or anyone curious about automotive history. A great spot to visit any day, especially if you’re into unique and stylish designs!

2 months agoAwesome museum. Wasn't sure what to expect but it didn't disappoint. It had a lot of live specimens of models I've heard of and never seen live, as well as a lot of other famous cars from movies etc. Very informative and I spent 2-3 hours here as i needed to examine every exhibit carefully. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes cars! I didn't even make it to the vault as I didn't want to pay the 20-30 surcharge (as it seemed a lot for 50 in total) but that might be for another visit if I'm back in town

a week agoI went during the week and purchased tickets to the vault well worth perusing for really any car fan of any type. During the week not so busy with the public, however, schools do museum trips on these days so areas can easily be crowded in the flip of a switch. Location also has a very convenient cafe/restaurant on site which was delicious from the bar to the entrees would recommend budgeting for a snack or meal here on a visit.

4 weeks agoThis place was so much fun and the Vault was just one amazing car after another. Even if you are not an antique car buff or a specialty car fan, the sheer volume of America's love affair with the automobile is worth your time and appreciation. I know this is going to sound kind of weird but the entire experience is an expression of love. So many of the vehicles in this museum have been restored and donated for the love of the automobile and our history as a country with its development of the auto. So even if you are one of those people who think, a car is just a mode of transportation, I would tell you this is still a worthwhile visit because it is a unique perspective on who we are as Americans.

2 months agoI visited while on a family trip and I'm so glad I made this a priority to get here. I had long heard about how stupendous this museum was and as a car enthusiast this has long been on my list to visit. I would say to anyone visiting the area, make this a high priority in your itinerary. There are so many pictures I could post but just know that the museum is extremely spacious and well laid out, classy and well designed with lots of open space, has excellent parking, and a fabulous 5 star restaurant and coffee shop on the main floor. I paid for the extra vault basement pass (December 2024 exhibit) and it was so worth it. I can't wait to come back and bring the rest of my family. If you have young children the 2nd floor has an excellent hands on play area they will enjoy.
