Expert Summary

Detailed Insights

Primarily a pet sales and adoption center, Pets Farm DS offers a wide variety of animals for purchase, including baby birds (lovebirds, pigeons, parrots) and small farm animals (roosters, chickens, rabbits, quail, Tuscans). It stands out for selling baby birds that can be trained and providing temporary care for purchased birds until they're ready to go home. Some customers also view it as a place to 'rescue' animals needing homes.

Key Highlights

  • Wide variety of animals available for purchase or adoption, including baby birds, roosters, chickens, rabbits, quail, Tuscans, and parrots.
  • Staff is knowledgeable about animals and fluent in Spanish.
  • Offers care/boarding for purchased baby birds until they are ready to come home.
  • Option to buy baby birds for training.
  • Perceived by some customers as an opportunity to adopt animals that 'need your help'.

Standout Features

  • Extensive selection of diverse animals for purchase/adoption (more than just common pets).
  • Staff expertise and Spanish language proficiency.
  • Temporary care service for newly purchased baby birds.
  • Opportunity to buy baby birds for hand-training.

Perfect For

Not primarily an entertainment venue with age-specific activities. Children might be interested in seeing the variety of animals available for purchase, but direct interaction and age-appropriate play areas are not mentioned. The described conditions (dirtiness, smell, animals in cages) may not be suitable for very young children or those sensitive to such environments.

Ideal For

Families specifically looking to purchase or adopt a variety of pet birds (baby birds, parrots, pigeons) or small farm animals (roosters, chickens, rabbits, quail).
Individuals comfortable with less-than-ideal animal living conditions who prioritize finding a specific animal or feel they are 'rescuing' an animal.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Bring a mask to mitigate the strong animal smell.
  • If you are looking for a specific type of bird (especially a baby one) or small farm animal, this place might have a wide selection.
  • Be prepared for potentially dirty conditions and strong odors.
  • Exercise caution regarding the health of animals purchased, and be aware that post-purchase support for animal health issues may be lacking.

Things to Consider

  • Reported to be dirty, with conditions attributed to the animals.
  • Animal living conditions described as 'kind of bad,' with animals kept 'stuck in cages and fish tanks.'
  • Strong animal odor; customers recommend bringing a mask because 'the smell is hard without one.'
  • A direct report of purchasing a sick animal (one-legged lovebird died two days after purchase).
  • Lack of responsiveness from the business regarding issues with purchased animals.

Price & Value

The business involves the purchase of animals, rather than an entry fee for entertainment. No specific prices were mentioned. The value is tied to the acquisition of a pet, but this is significantly impacted by reported concerns about animal health and living conditions, which could lead to unexpected veterinary costs or emotional distress.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No accommodations for special needs or accessibility features were mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • Not applicable; reviews focus on animal sales, not food service or outside food policies for visitors.

🚗Parking Info

  • No information regarding parking facilities was mentioned in the reviews.

👥Crowd Levels

  • No information about crowd levels or peak times was mentioned in the reviews.

🛡️Safety Features

  • No specific safety features for visitors or animal handling protocols were mentioned in the reviews.

When to Avoid

  • Families seeking a clean, interactive petting zoo experience or traditional family entertainment.
  • Individuals sensitive to strong animal odors or poor sanitation.
  • Parents concerned about exposing children to dirty environments or animals in confined, potentially unhealthy conditions.
  • Customers who require strong guarantees on animal health or expect responsive post-purchase customer service for pet-related issues.

I bought a baby lovebird, they are taking care of it till its ready to come home. The place may be a bit dirty, but thats from the animals. They know their stuff and speak spanish. They are good sellers, but if you want to a bird, I recommend buying one from here. They sell baby birds, so you can train them.

I went in looking for a baby pigeon, but I walked out with a full grown pigeon. She is so awesome and I am so happy with my purchase. If you’re looking for a rooster, chicken, rabbit, quail, Tuscan, parrot, etc…. This is the place. The living conditions are kind of bad, they do their best to clean. They are stuck in cages and fish tanks. Before you adopt anywhere else adopt here. These animals need your help. Bring a mask. The smell is hard without one.

I bought a lovebird that had one leg on 2/13. She died 2/15. They will not respond to me so I wanted to let everyone know they sell sick animals.
