a week agoThe only negative about our visit was the lack of a parking lot. Otherwise our visit was incredible. The Conservatory offers reduced admission price to seniors and EBT/SNAP card holders. The displays are numerous and the conservatory's footprint is extensive. It is easy to spend several hours during a visit. The varied types of displays and presentation will maintain your interest the entire time. We visited midweek and imagine it would be harder to enjoy your visit if the place was crowded. Try to visit off peak hours if possible. The conservatory is a must-see while visiting Pittsburgh.

3 weeks agoI had zero expectations before visiting and it completely blew my mind, from the first room I entered all the way to the exit. The collection of plants and flowers is vast, beautifully arranged, and incredibly well maintained. The Spring flowers and Panama collections are simply great! It's a must to bring a good camera, this is a photographer’s paradise. Obviously the best botanical garden I’ve ever visited.

3 weeks agoVisiting Phipps Conservatory was absolutely worth it. The gardens are stunning, with beautifully arranged flowers, vibrant greenery, and thoughtfully curated exhibits. Every room offered something unique—from tropical plants to seasonal blooms—and the views throughout were simply breathtaking. It’s a peaceful and inspiring place, perfect for a relaxing stroll or taking in nature’s beauty. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pittsburgh—whether you’re a plant lover or just looking for a beautiful escape in the city.

3 months agoWent here for the Holiday light display. Although a bit pricey, it was very well done. There were light displays in almost every room of the Botanical Gardens. I would have liked to have heard holiday music throughout the event. The crowds and parking were a bit much even with a reservation. However, I would recommend to anyone in living or visiting the area.

a month agoPhipps Conservatory is one of the most stunning, timeless wedding venues in Pittsburgh, and as a wedding photographer specializing in LGBTQIA+ weddings, I can confidently say it’s an absolute dream to photograph. Every corner of this space—from the lush gardens to the breathtaking glasshouse architecture—feels like stepping into a botanical fairytale. The way natural light filters through the greenery creates the most ethereal, romantic atmosphere, making every photo look straight out of a magazine. The botanical gardens, lush greenery & iconic glasshouse architecture create an editorial, timeless backdrop that makes every wedding feel like a fairytale. The natural light inside the conservatory is unreal—soft, golden, and perfect for moody, romantic photography. Whether it’s a small intimate ceremony or a grand celebration, Phipps provides endless gorgeous settings for photos. The staff is incredibly accommodating, ensuring everything runs smoothly for couples & vendors alike. Plus, they truly value inclusivity, making it a wonderful space for LGBTQIA+ weddings & diverse love stories. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that feels magical, elegant & completely unique, Phipps Conservatory is it. Highly recommend for both couples & fellow photographers!
