3 months agoWhile my son was in and out of the children’s hospital we stumbled across this STUNNING trail! It’s easy to walk, or run on. Many stopping points with GORGEOUS views. I highly suggest coming here, if you haven’t already!

a month agoA beautiful place with great views of the city and sunset. A perfect place for a run, walk, hike - no bikes or motor vehicles allowed. If you’re into birds, this is good place for spotting and listening. Pit toilets are available and there is a hand pump for water about 2/3 of the way out to the point.

a month agoInteresting little walk away from the main road that you can enjoy all the way to the tip of the point, definitely recommend to try the trail if you are residing in Eagle Heights

8 months agoI had not been here in about 5 years. It seems like it has become much more well known and easy to get to. I think the first time I went with my kids when they were 5years old it was more of a hiking trail with a great quiet view and place to fish or a quick dip. My kids are 19+ now and things have change. Now so many people and a much easier walk. That is also a good thing. Easy enough for mobility hindered individuals can make it to the point with very smooth and easy transport. The view getting there and at the point are still great. Another nice thing, or possibly, is the fire pits that are available for reservations and a supply of wood as well. A great idea for a camp-like dinner or late evening gathering of friends over marshmallows and warm flames!

8 months agoThe 15 minute walk to the picnic point was really soothing and calming. You will see glimpses of the city through the lake, which is mesmerizing. There are few picnic spots on the way which was surprisingly underrated. The main picnic point okayish. We did not see the 270 view like we thought we would but it was calmer.
