💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Plan a visit to Pioneer Village during the middle of your day at Lagoon to serve as a restful break from more intense rides.
  • Actively seek out the black and white photo studio if you desire unique family keepsakes.
  • Take time to explore the various shops, as reviewers note discovering new items on repeat visits.
  • Keep an eye out for peacocks, as they are a popular and visible feature.
  • If interested in specific past attractions like shoot-outs or wagon rides, be aware these are no longer offered.
  • If visiting around holidays, check Lagoon's schedule for seasonal events like the Easter Bunny.

Things to Consider

  • Parents report that past attractions like the 'shoot-out' and 'wagon rides' are no longer available.
  • Some visitors express a concern that the historical artifacts, while 'awesome to get to see,' might be better suited for a dedicated museum setting rather than 'hoarded by Lagoon.'
  • A former 'token collection' appears to be gone.

Price & Value

Access to Pioneer Village is included with Lagoon Amusement Park admission. • No specific accessibility accommodations (e.g., wheelchair access, sensory hours) were mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • No explicit food policy for Pioneer Village itself was mentioned. One review notes an 'ove cream shop' (likely an ice cream shop) within the village area, suggesting food options are available. As it's inside Lagoon, the park's general food policy would apply.

When to Avoid

  • Families solely seeking thrill rides or high-energy entertainment, as Pioneer Village offers a more subdued experience.
  • Visitors specifically hoping for the 'shoot-out' or 'wagon rides,' as these are no longer available.

We love coming here during the middle of our day at Lagoon. It's a great way to wind down after all the roller coasters and take a break before going back out again. We also enjoy seeing the peacocks and all the shops , we always seem to see something that we never saw before. Wish they still had the shoot-out and wagon rides, though.

Some pretty cool artifacts and antiques. Kinda sad that they are there at Lagoon instead of in a museum. But really awesome to get to see some of the items. I only gave 4 stars because I think a lot of the items belong in a museum rather than hoarded by Lagoon. Just my opinion though! No photos of the antiques, but some cool pics of a peacock in Pioneer Village.

I am astonished at the collection of artists that Lagoon has managed to obtain over the years. It is truly an historical treasure. I especially love all the old pill bottles, in many cases pills still in there. Those can be seen in the ove cream shop. The old Lagoon jail is a fun reminder of the past as well. They used to have a token collection, but that appears to be gone now.
