💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Exercise extreme caution when crossing Fenwick Rd to access the park, especially with children or bicycles, due to reported traffic incidents and a lack of pedestrian signals.
  • If possible, consider walking to the park if you live nearby to avoid parking frustrations and the Fenwick Rd crossing hazard.
  • Bring your own picnic lunch or snacks to utilize the available picnic tables for an extended family outing.
  • Plan for active engagement, as there's plenty of space to explore beyond just static play structures.

Things to Consider

  • Parking is a significant issue; reviewers explicitly state a need for 'more parking'.
  • A critical safety hazard exists when crossing 'Fenwick Rd' to access the park, particularly for cyclists and pedestrians. One reviewer reported a grandson being hit by a car, resulting in a broken ankle, highlighting the urgent need for a 'Caution light and/or stop signal'.

Price & Value

Implied to be a free public park, with reviewers consistently stating it is 'worth it' and a 'best park', indicating excellent value given the variety of amenities and activities provided at no cost.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accessibility accommodations (e.g., ramps, sensory-friendly hours) are explicitly mentioned in the reviews.
  • The presence of a 'walking path' suggests some level of traversable terrain, but specifics for wheelchairs are not detailed.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • Outside food is encouraged and accommodated, as 'picnic tables' are readily available for family use.

🚗Parking Info

  • Parking is insufficient, with a direct call for 'more parking' being a primary concern from a local resident.
  • The limited parking adds to the difficulty of accessing the park, especially when combined with road safety concerns.

👥Crowd Levels

  • The park is described as 'spacious', suggesting it can accommodate a fair number of visitors without feeling overly crowded within the play areas.
  • No specific peak times are mentioned, but parking issues may indicate higher demand at certain periods.

🛡️Safety Features

  • The internal park environment is described as 'safe' and 'kid-friendly', with well-kept facilities.
  • Benches are provided for adults to relax and supervise children.
  • However, a critical external safety flaw is the lack of traffic control (e.g., 'Caution light and/or stop signal') at the Fenwick Rd crossing point, which has led to a severe accident.

When to Avoid

  • Families who require ample and convenient on-site parking directly adjacent to the park.
  • Parents who are highly sensitive to significant external road crossing safety risks for their children when accessing a park.
  • Allowing children to ride bicycles across Fenwick Rd to enter the park, due to the high reported accident risk.

We just live four doors away. I must say that whenever my grand sons come over to visit - its the first thing they want to do. The park is very nice, safe, kid-friendly, spacious and clean. The adults can enjoy knowing their little ones will be having fun while being safe. There are many benches to relax on & soak up the scenery or we like to take a nice walk on the walking trail that is well kept. My only Cons would be more parking and to add a Caution light and/or stop signal. My eldest grandson just got hit while riding his bicycle across Fenwick Rd to the park. Thankful only a broken ankle and mangled bike was the outcome. Please slow down people...Children are playing!
