Absolutely lovely local toy shop with friendly staff who are willing to help you with all the new toy trends and options and free wrapping!

Just stop by at 9:55 am to pick up a birthday gift my grandson wanted so bad. We we’re leaving for Alabama and trying to beat the hurricane weather coming in. The owner would not let me in for the purchase because she wasn’t ready. Opens at 10 am. Not 9:55. Really We will NEVER shop there again. We will share this with my in-law who spends a lot of money there.

I love Playthings! I will always pay more to buy from a local store if the alternative is a giant corporation but this local shop has great prices AND they gift wrap for free while you wait. What’s not to love? Although, perhaps they do promote procrastination because I seem to buy birthday party gifts on my way to parties and I show up on time with the perfect gift with cute wrapping paper too 😂 Oh and they’re also super nice, and that helps too.

I recently had a brand new beautiful baby girl at Norton's Hospital and headed over to play things to find them perfect gift for her to bring home to her big sister. The Staff was awesome they were knowledgeable about their products and helped me find them perfect gift. For icing on the cake they wrapped the gift for me at no additional charge. For me as a 31 year old adult it is awesome to find an actualt toy store i remember from my youth and the best part is that its is a small business. Highly recommend, may cost 10% more than Amazon but the nostalgia and the customer support is worth it!

Such sweet staff - the girl working was ready and super willing to help me find gifts for the kids I babysit. Thank you for gift-wrapping, too, and saving me a trip to another store!! Reasonable prices - just look hard enough! I felt like a kid again. ☺️
