Portland Museum

What a hidden gem. Today was my first visit to the Portland Museum and I was amazed how entertaining and informative it is. The combination of history and art is just right to be enjoyed by adults and children alike. And it’s free!

Great slice of local art, history and culture. Looking forward to the upcoming children's musuem. Highly recommend checking out any events they host, the history of the space itself is worth the trip.

This is an amazing little museum and a great resource for the community. If you are traveling on I-64 and want a dose of art, history and river culture, stop here. We learned so much about the history of Portland, the Ohio River and contemporary life. Great for kids! Kudos to the staff! It's a free museum, but it's always great to donate.

We went today, a gloomy rainy day but it was extremely nice inside. It was our first time going and we will be back. Everything was nice and neat. Beautiful building and exhibits. We enjoyed the local history and the African art. The historian there was super kind to us and very informative. I can't wait to go again on a beautiful day where we can enjoy the outdoor part as well.

Wonderful museum. Portland is an interesting neighborhood worthy of studying. Friendly staff.
