Moving on with Old man river
a year agoI went here to get my legs back in shape. There's two longer stairs from the sidewalk from Williamsburg Road to the park. The shorter one seems to rise 20 feet up stone stairs. The longer and higher stairs seems to be between a forty and fifty feet rise from the sidewalk and the full top of the stairs. At the top there's benches to rest on and look over the Richmond skyline. Oh there's a children's playground there too. The park has restrooms that are closed right now because of construction.. the park is dog friendly.

2 years agoNice park with basketball courts, baseball field, playground, a picnic spot overlooking the area, horseshoes pits, and a community garden. The playground has an awesome zipline like feature, but it needs maintenance, as it would only go a short ways before grinding to halt (but the kids still enjoyed playing on it).

2 years agoThis park is great! There's lots to do here for everyone who needs it, the community is great, and the sunset views are amazing. I highly recommend this park as one of the best in Richmond in terms of city views

6 years agoMy kids love this park - highlighted by the "zipline" swing that they fight over the entire time we're there. Site offers one of the more picturesque views of Richmond, which was a pleasant surprise the first time we visited here. The ONLY knock against this place is the lack of parking in proximity to the actual playground, as you have to walk up a very steep hill from a nearby street to access it. Otherwise, a nice little gem in Rocketts Landing.

a year agoThe track glider is the coolest I’ve ever seen and it’s out of use because there’s no handlebar. It’s a shame because the most basic one that goes in a straight line starts at $5k. Wonder how much money was raised for this giant one to be out of order for 4+ years and counting? And I don’t want to hear about safety when no child should be at a park without parental guidance. What a waste of money and resources.
