a month agoProbably one of the worst hikes in the area. The trails are poorly marked. There is no parking lot. The park runs along houses and the interstate. However, if you're looking for seclusion and guaranteed parking, absolutely recommend.

2 years agoA nice park with good trails. There are roots and some short but steep areas, otherwise the trails are wide enough and well established. The trail markers are limited and vaguely simple. My rule of thumb is to take a photo of the park map and stay either to the left or right the entire hike. I nice trail for an urban setting.

4 years agoBesides a few picnic tables and parking spots, the trails are the only attraction in this tiny city park. I like that it first follows along the nearby Powhite Expressway before heading in to the bush. There the seclusion of the woods and hills make for a nice get away. Good for hiking & biking, you can choose an outside loop and several interconnecting trails. No views to speak of. With some backtracking, you can put in a good, satisfying hour of hiking.

3 months agoLucky to get out alive with all the careless and selfish mountain bikers. My dog and I were almost hit like 4 times as we stopped to observe native wildflowers.. This isn't safe for any one. Went twice and both times it was a very stressful and terrible walk. Area parks need to consider this total takeover of the parks by mountain bikers. Second time I'm posting a review, gee, can't imagine what happened.
