I love the summer sunset paddles on Wednesdays! I've been renting from them for years. All the employees are so friendly and welcoming, and they get you paddling really fast. You can tell they just love the water and getting people out there. I'm always so happy when I'm home on Wednesdays and can make it to the sunset paddle... everyone who goes is so nice (staff and paddlers), and it's always a really pretty sunset and a good-yet-mellow workout. [Also, I know there are a ton of confusing parking lots in the marina. The closest one to them is Parking Lot 10.]

I love Pro SUP Shop! They took care of me and are so friendly and fun! Special shout out to you know who you are, lol : "When I say Cypress you say Hill.... Cypress..." 🙌🏼😎 Thanks to all of you for making this my most memorable trip to LA. Also, thanks to the young lady that recommended Beachside restaurant. It was bomb! xoxo 💕💣💥

The two gentlemen working were so sweet and helpful. The directions to navigate the bay was easy to follow, it was nice they provided storage for belongings and shoes. They also have a hose to wash off the sand. I am definitely coming back!!

We arrived on Sunday morning for kayaking. I was able to get a single kayak without reservation, but reservation is recommended if you come at more popular times in the afternoon. The rental fee was $30 for the first hour and $40 for two hours. I enjoyed the ride, and even saw a sea lion. Make sure you memorize the waterway otherwise you may make the wrong turn coming back. The beach is also very calm and has clean toilets and nice facilities. There are picnic tables on the beach, but you have to arrive early to claim the spot. Also, there are several parking lots around so should be relatively easy to find parking.

I truly enjoyed my third experience on a kayak. My group and I reserved their “Sunset Cruise” on Wednesdays. This was on 7/10/24. Being my third time only on a kayak, I always welcome any tips from a pro. The crew working that afternoon were all cool and offered some kayaking tips, before I set off into the water. They both made me feel at ease and were keeping in mind their paddling tips during the 90-minute cruise around the marina. They also have life vest available to borrow, should you choose to wear one. For me, it’s “safety first”. They actually adds cushion, to your back, when sitting in a kayak. So, safety can also be plush.😉 I like their location, because the kayaks and SUPs launch from a beach. I would definitely sign up again for the sunset cruise in the near future. :)
