a month agoWe brought our 10yo as a surprise and had such a great day at Project Rock! Took the belay class, which was informative and thorough, and I felt safe belaying my daughter. She spent the whole day climbing and LOVED it. The staff was friendly and helpful when we asked questions. Very clean facility. Would highly recommend a visit here if you're interested in climbing.

2 months agoIn February 2025, during our day off, we visited ProjectRock, an indoor climbing and fitness center. With no prior experience, we purchased a day pass for $27.82 after tax. Rope climbing required a training course, so we opted for bouldering, free climbing without harnesses. The routes were color-coded by difficulty, allowing us to follow the markings and challenge ourselves.it was super challenging! But it was really fun!! I’ll try again next time…

6 months agoAwesome place. I came with my 8 year old daughter, and she had an absolute blast. Staff are communicative, clear, fun, and prioritize safety. I found the website a little difficult to navigate as someone with no climbing experience, but I called and spoke to someone who was very helpful in explaining things to me. We started on the boulder, which is less high and requires no harness. Physically, it was pretty challenging for both of us, but we both made it far enough up the easier climbs for us to feel accomplished. It was really hard at first, but we got better with practice. The high climbing courses require a harness and someone to belay the climber. They offer classes to learn how to do this, or you can schedule a "guided climb" with a staff member - these need to be scheduled in advance. The high courses have greater variety, so some were physically easier than the boulder but obviously scarier due to the height. We got very lucky that they had someone available for a guided climb for my daughter, and she had a real blast. Kyle was fantastic. Huge thanks to everyone and looking forward to next time!

3 weeks agoHad my first experience at projectROCK Oakland Park on April 9th, and it definitely won’t be my last. I was brought by a longtime friend who’s a member, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to climbing. The facility is impressive—clean, well-organized, and full of positive energy. The staff were welcoming, and the variety of walls and routes caters to every level. As a first-timer, I managed to top out on a 5’6 wall called “Try the Grey Stuff” and even surprised myself by completing a 5’9 route called “Friction Labs Friction Slabs.” Both were super fun and challenging in different ways. Huge thanks to my friend for bringing me and to the projectROCK community for making the experience so great. Can’t wait to come back and tackle some new climbs!
