a month agoDid not realize this was the 5th oldest amusement park when I went. Very well maintained for something this old. Only the train ride was running when I went. Tickets are very modestly priced. Its free to enter the park. Decent length of walking trails. Casual walk around the pond. Dedicated play area for kids and plenty of covered picnic areas. The other attractions like the carousel appeared to be closed. Might be prudent to check when these open for the season before coming here.

2 weeks agoNice free to enter park with a few fun activities to do. They have a $2 per person mini train that goes around the entire park which is a nice way to soak it all in. They also have a cute boat ride for kids and a playground. There is supposed to be pedal boats but we discovered this was only available on weekends. Not sure if this is always the case. Good for a quick stroll around the park and somewhere to hang out with friends or bring your kids to play.

a month agoGreat experience at the park with full day engaging activities for adults and kids. Nice place to spend a day on your weekend. 2$ for the rides (Train, Carousel, kids boat) and 7$ for the boat ride for 30 mins in the lake is affordable. Have not tried the cafe. Plenty of playground and options for kids to unleash their creativity. Arrive earlier to get a parking spot especially on busy and long weekends.

a month agoBeautiful well kept family friendly park! I haven’t been in over 20 years but it was just as nice as I remembered. They have the train ride, paddle boats, carousel, and the aquatic center!

a month agoA Raleigh staple! Love this place any time of year whether just for a walk or something exciting like paddle boats. The train is so charming and the arch bridges and wide paved path around the water make this one of my favorite places. Lots of playground equipment for children and clean restrooms. Their cafe is good and the carousel is timeless! Lovely flowerbeds and landscaping, a very peaceful place so close to town.
