6 months agoMy elderly parents and myself have attended many performances which we enjoy immensely. We showed up for the show today October 27, my parents drive 45 minutes to get to my house then another 20 minutes to the theater. The doors were locked and no show. This was already a rescheduled show. My mother was not notified that the show had been rescheduled again or cancelled. She's normally on top of dates. I'm not sure what happened today.

11 months agoI love cabaret. I wanted this to be incredible. I expected it to be good. It was just okay. The band leader is a great pianist and was charming but a bit caddy for my taste. The rest of the band silently followed his lead. The singers were...trained and somewhat talented, but were visibly defeated and it somewhat muted their performance. I'm just not sure it's worth the $50.

a year agoAbsolutely outstanding shows! The singers are incredible! Look forward to going to QHP every year. All of the shows are great, but we look forward to the Christmas performance the most. And we are going soon to the 2023 Christmas show. We love QHP! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

a year agoWhat a gem for Kansas City. It's a small theater providing a very intimate setting for their entertainment. I went during a fundraiser that provided appetizers, small desserts, and a bar with wine and a special cocktail. The music was really fun and interjected with humor plus lots of talent among the performers.

2 years agoThis was my first time attending a show at this venue and was extremely disappointed. We were required to wear a mask throughout the entire show even though there are no mask mandates in Kansas City. The staff monitored how the audience was wearing their masks and actually approached my group multiple time to instruct on how to wear the mask to their standard. It was extremely invasive and rude considering that we were guests who had paid for tickets to enjoy a show. This extremely inappropriate behavior was very much like being treated like a small child. I personally work in the medical field and do not need to be instructed by theatre employees on public health safety standards. The musicians were talented and the venue was very nice but the policies and staff behavior was completely out of line and I would never spend my money on any future shows at this venue due to the mask policy as well as the way it was handled by the staff.
