weeks agoI come here often. I love it! The park is greening up nicely. Still have the Porta potties in the east side picnic area. I'll be glad when they open the bathroom for the season. It was recently serviced though and clean. Do yourself a favor and visit this park. Turn off your car stereo and enjoy the quiet and tranquility this place offers.

months agoGreat park within a short drive from downtown Pittsburgh. The lake is used for ice skating and ice fishing in the winter months. Well maintained all year round. Nice beach and reserve areas.

months agoQuite a drive from Pittsburgh but worth it. Huge place, has a big creek not sure if its a lake, there is a boat rental for kayaking, they also have a water bike of some sort, has good cabins and outdoor area just don't get lost in the trail.

months agoAbsolutely beautiful State Park!! We went on the Mineral Springs Loop Trail with my 2 year old nephew. The springs were fairly dried up but it was still a beautiful hike!! Wasn’t too challenging for my nephew either. I loved the rock building area, very cool! We also went to see the wildflower area as well. Most of the flowers are no longer in season but it was still a beautiful spot! We had the opportunity to be there when one of the Rangers was letting the butterflies free!! He let my nephew set them free. It was such a cool experience!! Would definitely come back again! 😊

months agoCabin was very nice! We stayed for a week and went to several places around the western pa area hiking and checking out waterfalls. The lake was nice with reasonable boat access. Very nice for kayaking and fishing in our john boat. The beach area was okay. Only downfall was that the cabin was a good 15-20 minutes from the lake. Frankfort mineral springs is a must see while there! All in all a great stay in a beautiful state park!
