a week agoMy coworkers and I went to Rage RVA for team bonding, and instead of blowing off steam, I was humiliated. Nicole asked us all to stand in a line, prison style, in front of her while she slowly and awkwardly assessed our bodies up and down. No words or explanation as to what she was doing. She then told us to grab a jumpsuit a size up from what we normally wear. That's all she needed to say. Instead, she called out myself and two other girls on my team (in front of everyone) to go find a 3x - 5x jumpsuit in an entirely different section, while everyone else was welcome to select from S, M, L, and XL. And to make it worse, the larger jumpsuits were a different color. I have had 2 children, and I'm well aware that I'm not small. I wear a size 12/Large. I know how to find a jumpsuit that will fit me without being fat-shamed in front of my team. It was unnecessary and insensitive. The rage room bit wasn't worth the embarrassment. As a small business owner, I want to support the business, but I cannot support Nicole's position there.

3 months agoThis was so much fun! It doesn't last long enough for the amount of money you pay, but we did enjoy it. Throwing bottles without a good protective shield to cover the neck was too dangerous, so I stopped that in the middle of the session. You could also just not throw them so hard that big chunks of broken glass fly back toward you. Smashing with a baseball bat is big fun. They also let you plug in your music to set the tone. What a cool thing to do! 1 star removed because they should double up on safety.

4 months agoA group of me and my friends (6 of us total) came for a group smash. We ended up paying almost 400 dollars for this experience and it was very tainted by one of the employees. After we had gotten there 7-10 minutes early before our smash time we went and checked in at the front and they asked us to sit and wait while they help with another group. We waited patiently while one of my friends used the restroom and we were waiting for our last 2 party members to arrive. They asked us to start getting ready and while we were doing so another employee very rudely came up to us saying we now only had 15 instead of 20 minutes in the room because we were not getting ready quickly enough, mind we had just been told to start getting ready. Additionally, my friend asked her for 15 extra breakables that were advertised in the room and she brought them to us but then when our time was up she quickly, harshly and while making rude comments rushed us out. Another thing that was an issue with this establishment was the poor safety equipment. They gave us a suit, gloves, and a head piece that covered our faces. While in the room my friends wrist started bleeding and continued to do so a lot and even through the glove. We put gauges and bandaids on it when we left but the equipment there needs to be updated for safety reasons. If you got all the way through long review thank you and I hope you have a better experience with some of the employees then we did.

a year agoIt wasn't what I expected! It was 2 of us. I will say that it was cute, fun, intimate, something different. I really wish the canvas was bigger (they give you 5x7) for $30 with 25 min in the room. Could give you an 8x10 frame We were done in like 10min. Also the holes in the paint bottle were REALLY CUT TOO BIG! There was no control and paint was everywhere but on canvas! Lol I would do this again.

3 months agoYou guys I was about to cry myself home. For my bday, I originally signed up for the rage room for 10mins and splatter paint for 25mins. I drove over an hr to get to Rage RVA and I was so excited to get there. When I got there with 8mins to spare, NO parking insight...I literally spent my whole first appointment looking for parking. I called and a lady picked up basically saying there was nothing you can do cause they were booked. BOYYY, when I tell you I was IRATE!!! When I got inside, I was greeted by Nicole who directed me to the areas to get dress, all while steam is boiling out of my ears lol. Before Nicole sent me to my next appt (splatter paint) she said she would give me a coupon so I can come back. And although that was really sweet, I was just thinking about that long drive back. I went into my splatter paint session and I could not enjoy it because I was so upset that I missed my appointment. I almost sat my butt in the paint and just cried. I actually left my splatter paint session early, I have 16mins left but I just couldn't get over it. When I came out of my splatter paint session, Nicole told me to stand by as she was working to fit me into one of the Rage sessions. And she most certainly did. I was able to get my 10mins of rage out!!! I was so appreciative of her, I could not thank her enough....I did end up shedding a tear when I got to my car. Thank you again Nicole!! I am giving it 4 stars because the splatter paint. They allow you to pick 3 colors which is fine but there is not a lot of paint in the bottles for a 25min session. Even though I left after 10mins, I doubt that paint would've lasted. I believe it is $3 for extra paint. Lastly, the room is covered in so much paint, it makes it hard to see your work. I would certainly go back to Rage RVA
