a year agoNice, clean park… They have some thing for pretty much all ages! There is good shade and nice places to play in the sun.

2 months agoThe Rec Center is a wonderful neighborhood resource. I was welcomed warmly by a woman who was very informative and I later learned she is the director of the facility.

4 years agoGreat park for kids right by a huge baseball field. Also pretty close to soulard if you want to make a family day out of it.

2 years agoThe park has recently decided in May of 2022 to chain up the baseball field within the park, after years of having it open to the public, preventing community members from being able to use it. No longer are we able to host pick-up games of kickball, have impromptu batting practice with our kids on weekend mornings, or play fetch inside a safe, fenced-in area with our dogs. The beautiful space is now just sitting empty when it was previously a bright spot of the neighborhood. Very unfortunate to be wasting such a resource in the name of, I don’t know, growing grass?

3 years agoAs long as there are working swings, the kids are happy and so am I. There is a playground for 2-5 year olds and two separate playgrounds for 6-12. Plus there's a baseball field next to it and plenty of space and shade for the little ones.
