They have a bit of everything for the great outdoors and I love their clothing, sleeping bags, backpacks Cotopaxi/Osprey my fav, trail shoes, Kayaks and endless selection of tents, supplies, etc! A must visit… chop, chop! You can also check them out online. #GetOutAndPlay🧗♂️🥾🏂🚤🚴♂️🏃🏽♀️🧘♂️🎣🛶🏕️🏖️ #OutsideWithPride🌳

2 months agoToday I purchased some items from your Sandysprings store and used my co-op member reward. Your cashier Brittany (t-9456) wanted to see my ID to make sure that I didn't find the rewards coupon in the parking lot. How insulting to suggest that a co op member could potentially be committing fraud or was she racially profiling me.if she wanted to see if the coupon was mine, she could have simply looked at my credit card that I purchased these items with. If this is your policy then it stinks. Thanks Jlewis.

5 months agoCame in to purchase some shoes I saw online were in stock. The worker Bo actively went out of her way to act like my husband and I were invisible and assisted customers who walked in the shoe area AFTER us. We waited for about 15 minutes until a worker from the back (thanks Diego!) and she walked past us multiple times and intentionally went out of her way to not make eye contact with us. She only assisted white customers. There were two other people of color who were also being ignored and did not get assistance until Diego came out from the back. I am a REI member and spend thousands of dollars here and not once ever had a bad experience until now. Really heartbroken feeling to have before the holidays.

6 months agoBought an expensive Janji jacket that is supposed to be waterproof and isn't. I tried to return and explain that the first time I wore it in the rain it didn't work and got fully saturated but they wouldn't except the return. I even have the membership but I it maybe a week after I purchased the jacket. Really unhappy about this. This was the most expensive rain jacket I have ever purchased. I won't buy anything from REI again. As noted by other some of the people in the show department are flat out rude and have a serious attitude problem. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There's nothing here too can't buy online or from less expensive retailers. There's no benefit to shopping at REI if they don't even stand behind the quality of their items.

6 months agoThis location consistently has the most helpful staff, and I always know I'm in good hands here. They are quick to see if you need help and are all experts in various sections of the store. Cooper, Carolyn, Jon, Paden, and another gentleman with glasses in the shoe section were especially helpful during my trip today, which involved getting my mom fitted for a pack, hiking shoes, socks, and trekking poles.
