a year agoREI is one of my favorite stores. The store has all the clothes, shoes, backpacks, and camping gear I like. The REI in CalExpo is next to Costco. The location is convenient, but the traffic is busy sometimes. The store is big. They carry many outdoor activities gear in stock. I can get it right away without waiting for the mail order. They have a lot of high quality clothing that I can feel, touch, and try on before I pay for it. Same thing with hiking shoes. I like to try it at the store instead of ordering it online. The store has many different sections for different types of items. The layouts are very simple and easy to navigate. REI has a membership that lets you earn points and get priority discount offers before the general public. I often received discount coupons from REI by email or physical mail too.

a month agoSome activist, sorry I mean employee really did a # on me here today. I walk in and patiently and kindly, ask for a high price item to be removed from security lock. She goes, nobody there right now, sorry. I go you, you want me to wait there forever or until when? She goes, he’s busy. I go wtf to myself, no words, just a dumbfounded look! Then icing on cake, she “or goes you can leave”, I go wow and walk away. Corporate: You need to screen some of your employees, otherwise you going to loose a large customer base, I don’t think you want that if the basis of everything is now politics! No need for the lame attitude & hire based on merit! Additionally, I do realize I’m visiting California, so be sure to clean up all that homeless stuff going on around your doors too!

a month agoI recently signed up for their credit card. The only reason I signed up for the credit card: the cashier told me I’d receive a $100 visa gift card (which was about the price of my item). Heck yeah. Free stuff. I asked is that $100 spendable anywhere. Cashier said yes. Turns out, that gift card is only useable at REI. I went to see how they can help me. The response: you should’ve read the pamphlet. Super helpful. Thanks.

3 months agoPricey but quality outdoor products. Biking, hiking? Skiing, camping, climbing, shoes. I have a pair pants from REI I’ve been wearing for camping for 5 years.

2 months agoAbsolutely amazing Service...best REI Location I've ever been to. Alyssa helped us out like crazy, even calling to make sure we had gotten the left and right boots for my snowboard. Impeccable experience l, and I will definitely be shopping here again.
